Hello, I check in from time to time here to read but this is my first post. Mary has touched my life in many was, being the Mother of Christ, symbolized in the constellations Virgo and Coma, found in Zoroastrian writings as Maiden whose title is All-overpowerer.

In the Gospel of Luke the phrase “his mother kept all these sayings in her heart” helps me to understand Mary better. She is Mother of Jesus and knows His ways, when I seen the Passion of Christ movie and Mary wiping up the blood from Her Son Her compassion will forever flood my soul.

I have a small stained glass picture of Mary and Baby Christ I treasure. Two praises to Her I learned are “Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death” and “Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed are thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus”

Welcome Silver Fae, I agree. Many times I have prayed to Mary and she has answered my prayers.

When my son, James, was born, (many years ago) he was premature and his lungs were not developed. The doctor put him on 60% oxygen and I prayed to Jesus and Mary, as I had lost my infant son the year before and couldn't bear the pain if it happened again. My co-workers stopped work at 10 a.m. and prayed for my son. Within an hour, he was down to 20% oxygen and doing much better! I truly believe in prayers to Mary, as well as Jesus. I pray to her as a Mother to a Mother and a Daughter to a Daughter. I also believe in group prayer - it is amazing.
